Dennis T. Groves

Dennis T. Groves, 78, of Hartsburg, passed away May 11, 2012 at his home. He was born March 19, 1934, in Jefferson City the son of the late Herman and Katherine (Barner) Groves. On February 17, 1956 he was united in marriage to Sadia Mae Roller, she survives at the home.

Dennis was a graduate of Southern Boone County High School. He was employed as a Master Pressman all his life, working for Artcraft Press, Kelley Press, University of Missouri Printing Service and the State of Missouri Printing Service. After retirement Dennis was employed with Mid America Isotopes Inc. in Ashland. He was a member of House of Prayer Family Church, where he was very active and loved spending time with his church family. Dennis was a musician, an avid fisherman, and enjoyed traveling.

Along with his wife Sadia, he is survived by 4 children: Kevin Groves (wife Jeanne) of Benton, Kentucky, Jada Anderson (husband Curt) of Jefferson City, Neil Groves (wife Diane) of Westphalia, and Mitzi Crump (husband Barry) of Centertown; two brothers: Herman Groves (wife Annie) of St. Louis and Raymond Clark of St. Louis; one sister: Mary Dickman (husband Richard) of Arnold; eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter: Debra Groves and a brother: Gary Groves

Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2012, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with Rev. James Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in Hartsburg Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the House of Prayer Family Church. Arrangements are under the direction of HOUSER-MILLARD Funeral Directors, 2613 West Main Street; (573) 636-3838.
