Wilma Irene McGee

Wilma Irene McGee, 73, of Mt. Sterling passed away Friday, June 29, 2012 at her home. She was born in Wellsville, Missouri the daughter of the late Richard and Louise Christian. She was united in marriage to Victor McGee. He preceded her in death on April 27, 1990.

Wilma attended Wellsville High School. She was a homemaker, and in her later years was employed with Jefferson City Manor and the Ramada Inn Hotel. Wilma enjoyed sewing, crocheting and embroidering. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons: Russell Catron (wife Elizabeth) of Linn and Vincent McGee (wife Karla) of Mt. Sterling; one daughter: Wilma Haslag (husband Randy) of Taos; two brothers: Arthur Christian and Harold Christian; three sisters: Mardell Harrlan, Della Mae Walog, Martha Kay McCormick; twenty one grandchildren: Tracy Catron, Russell Catron (wife Erin), Kurt Catron (wife Dawn), Thomas Catron, Vanesssa Catron, Billy Stephens, Tiffany Stephens, Amber Smith, Dustin Smith, Sheena Hughes, Vincent McGee Jr. (wife Emily), Robert Buck, Crystal McGee, Dustin McGee Thomas McGee, Nickolas DeBroeke, Star McGee, Heather Martins (husband Josh), Dawn Ostberg, Ashley Haslag, and Jesse Haslag and nineteen great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, July 2, 2012 at the Millard Family Funeral Chapel - Linn, Funeral Services will follow with Gene Burch officiating. Private graveside services will be held for the family. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
