Monthly Support Group

Sometimes sharing your experience with others who are also coping with the loss of a loved one can help. Empathy helps us connect with others and grow from our pain. You are never alone in your journey through grief. Below is a list of various grief support groups in our community.

The third Monday of each month, from 11:30AM - 12:30PM, we are offering a Grief Counseling Support Group with the help of Compassus™. This group meets at the West Point Executive Center, next-door to our Houser-Millard funeral home in Jefferson City, MO.

Biannual Grief Seminars

Featuring Dr. Rita Esterly Ph.D.

For the past 32 years, our family has hosted special Grief Seminars prior to important holiday seasons. You might recall hearing about our annual seminar, “Getting Through the Holidays,” which has helped generations of grieving families navigate those difficult moments celebrating Thanksgiving, Christmas and other holidays without a loved one. Within the past couple of years, we have found it beneficial to hold an additional seminar in the spring, just in time for Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Memorial Day.

Information regarding our Biannual Grief Seminars will be posted a month prior to each meeting.
